General Directions for Visitors: Highway 69 North from Tyler and Highway 69 South from Lufkin Texas are the two main entrances to the City of Alto Texas. Highway 21 West of Alto to Crockett and Highway 21 East of Alto to Nacogdoches are the second most traveled entrances. Highway 21 to the West also goes to the Caddoan Mound State Park. City Hall and the Fire Department is located past the Y of 294 and Highway 21 going west of Highway 69. Cafes and the Library also are just off Highway 69 on Highway 21 to the west.
